Nigerian Spam Scam Scam
The Nigerian Spam Scam Scam is, like Coreyoke, something that began as a joke. I started screwing with a Nigerian 419 Scammer early 2003. Thanks to urging by Paul Provenza & Penn Jillette, I performed an early, too-long, not so great version of it by that summer.
The following summer, Victor Isaac and I found ourselves in Edinburgh, Scotland at the international Fringe Festival where we did pretty damned good.
Since then, we’ve been featured at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal, played a couple times in Chicago and gone back to Scotland. We’ve also signed with a booking agency who gets us the occasional gig around the country.
